Located near to Wembley’s busiest shopping streets, Chesterfield House is a high-rise accommodation complex for working Londoners.
The development has long been viewed as a totem for proving that high density, affordable housing can be achieved in busy town centre settings. Comprising 239 apartments, high quality retail spaces, a public square and a community centre, Chesterfield House is one of the most ambitious projects of its kind in the Capital. As such a high profile development, getting the right look for the redevelopment of the 21 and 26 storey towers was pivotal.
Ibstock worked in close partnership with Maccreanor Lavington to identify the right façade solutions for the new-look development. Carefully designed to add richness and character to the build, the facades are designed to be seen over a range of scales. Ibstock’s white glazed sawtooth bricks have been used to great effect throughout the towers, while the ground floor elevations are finished in high quality green glazed brick and concrete surrounds.
The towers now serve as a visual marker for the wider regeneration and redevelopment work being completed across Wembley, and act as an eye-catching, uniquely modern home for commuting Londoners.
